Scholarships

At Dutchess Community College there are two types of scholarships. There are the Dutchess Community College Scholarships that the school awards to students through its Honors Convocation which is held on the day of graduation every year. Students can apply for one of 125 different scholarships, including scholarships for full-time, part-time, and even graduating students.

There is also a full-tuition scholarship for entering freshman . The Charles and Mabel Conklin Scholarship for Academic Excellence is awarded to any Dutchess County high school senior who graduates in the top 10% of their class. The scholarship covers tuition and fees at DCC for two consecutive years (4 semesters). Check with your high school guidance office or call the DCC Admissions Office (845-431-8010) to receive a scholarship application.

The other type of scholarship that a student may receive at DCC, is an Outside Scholarship. The school does not control this type of scholarship as these are scholarships that you can apply for outside the school. Check out these popular scholarship books or go online for more information.

  • The Scholarship Book 12th Edition: The Complete Guide to Private-Sector Scholarships, Fellowships, Grants, and Loans for the Undergraduate
  • Peterson's Scholarships, Grants & Prizes 2007
  • Kaplan Scholarships, 2007 Edition
  • The College Board Scholarship Handbook 2007: All-new 10th Edition

Here are some of the scholarship websites we recommend:

You can complete the DCC scholarship application online at DCC Scholarship Application or you can ask to receive one from the Admissions Office.  You may apply for more than one DCC scholarship, but you will be awarded only one.

If you have any questions about scholarships, feel free to call the Office of Financial Aid (845-431-8030).
