- Each student will be assigned a counselor who is knowledgeable in his or her profession, will listen attentively, will follow through on any promises made or resolutions or problems, and can get answers quickly.
- Students have the right to know all their options; the differences and peculiarities of each aid program, and the consequences of each decision they make.
We expect from you (your RESPONSIBILITIES):

- Additional awards received not included on the original award notice.

Please come to the Office of Financial Aid prepared and willing to spend time. Do not assume that we will always know what you want or need. Some transactions are time consuming so please allow enough time to conduct your business. We will give each student the same attention and will not rush you out the door.
Cooperation is a two way street! Please accept the fact that we are all human and sometimes, despite our best efforts, mistakes do occur. The financial aid process is a cooperative effort between Dutchess Community College and it’s students.
