Thursday, November 2, at 12:30 p.m. in the James and Betty Hall Theatre, the
Lyceum Series will feature Ellen Gootblatt, whose topic will be “Men Aren’t
Women! Women Aren’t Men! Understanding and Appreciating the
Differences Between the Sexes.” A “relationships” expert and nationally
syndicated advice columnist, Ellen Gootblatt is the author of Men Are Worth the Trouble: Translating,
Understanding, Appreciating and Celebrating Men. Her book entitled Meeting, Dating, Relating, and Mating: 250 Important Questions to Ask
Before You Go Further in a Relationship deals with each stage of a
relationship and what specific questions to ask so you can intelligently decide
whether your relationship has real substance, potential, and longevity. All members of the college community are
invited to attend this free program.
3. Ross Allison, Ghost Hunter ![]()

Allison is the founding President of AGHOST, the largest, most active ghost-hunting
group in the Northwest using scientific methods to study ghosts. His interest began with ghost stories told by
his mother, and his fifteen years of experience pursuing the unknown led him to
organize his Seattle-based ghost-hunting group.
The organization has hosted training sessions, expeditions, and investigations
into the paranormal for five years. Mr.
Allison is well-versed in the study of the paranormal and conducts classes at
the college level on such topics as Ghostology and Psychic Development.

Saturday, November 4, at 11:00 a.m. in the James and Betty Hall Theatre, the
Family Festival will present Steve Johnson’s Magic Variety Show. Steve sets the stage for fine entertainment
by establishing an exceptional rapport with the audience. Using innovative adaptations of magic,
comedy, and juggling, he draws the audience into a memorable entertainment
journey. Maintaining a contemporary,
upbeat and humorous atmosphere, the show celebrates excellence in
entertainment. All members of the
college community are invited to bring their children to this free program.

3. Casting Notice The Play Production class project is “Tag, You’re It!,” a comic look at STDs and how a sexually transmitted disease makes its way through every segment of our society.
