Criminal Justice Faculty
The Behavioral Science Department invites applications for a temporary full-time position in Criminal Justice, beginning Fall 2008. This temporary full-time position is for the 2008-2009 academic year and may be renewable for two more years.
Ability to teach in the following areas is necessary: issues and trends in terrorism intervention, white collar crime including computer-based crime, standard criminal justice offerings, and other general education areas served by the department. Will be expected to advise undergraduate students, be involved in program area, college, and community service. The successful candidate will be willing to integrate technology-based applications into the instructional process. The successful candidate is expected to show evidence of, or potential for, community college teaching excellence. In addition, participation in professional organizations related to criminal justice is desired. We seek candidates who have a professional a background in Criminal Justice or a closely related field, with a concentration in both local law enforcement and federal investigation. Some evening and/or off campus teaching may be required.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, or an appropriate sub-discipline of Criminal Justice required, along with community college teaching experience and other relevant, prior professional experience.
