Welcome to Dutchess Community College's Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program, better known as CSTEP. Founded in 1987, DCC's CSTEP serves the campus as a invaluable student resource, guiding students to greater academic success through tutoring and academic guidance. In 1986, the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) was authorized by the New York State Legislature to increase the enrollment and retention of underrepresented and economically disadvantaged undergraduate and graduate students in programs leading to professional licensure or to employment in scientific, technical, and health-related careers. Through a competitive proposal process, CSTEP grants are awarded to postsecondary institutions with registered science, technical, or health-related programs, and/or programs leading to professional licensure that will provide program students with research opportunities and career-related internships, academic and career counseling, and enriched academic course work.
