Letter Grade 'D'

SUNY New Paltz New Paltz will accept letter “D” grades from students who earn AA or AS degrees from DCC but only for general education requirements and not for major requirements.

SUNY Albany Students matriculating in fall 2001 and thereafter cannot transfer and receive credit for any grade of “D”. However, except for the University’s writing requirement, “D’s” will transfer to meet general education requirement even though students will receive no graduation credit for such courses.

SUNY Binghamton “D’s” ordinarily do not transfer. However, if a student earns an AA or AS degree and Binghamton cannot transfer the guaranteed 57 credits that ensure Junior status without using the "D", an exception can be made.

Marist Courses with letter grades of “D” do not transfer to Marist College under any circumstances. Transfer credit for the "c" grades may be awarded for the elective credit category only.

Mount Saint Mary A grade of “D” is acceptable only with the 60 credit guarantee for an AA or AS degree holder or as the first part of sequential subjects in which a grade of “C” or better is achieved in the second part (e.g. BIO 101: “D”; BIO 102: “C”).

Pace University Courses with letter grades of “D” do not transfer to Pace University under any circumstances.

SUNY Purchase Grades of “D” are accepted in transfer credit, although several programs of study will accept only grades of “C” or higher in satisfaction of major requirements.
