Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.) degrees are designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to pursue a baccalaureate degree.

Examples of A.A. and A.S. programs of study at DCC:

• Business Administration Transfer (B.A.T.)
• Computer Science (C.P.S.)
• Liberal Arts and Humanities (L.A.H.)

The Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree is designed to prepare students for employment in specific occupations after graduation from DCC.

Examples of A.A.S. programs of study at DCC:

• Nursing (N.U.R.)
• Accounting (A.C.C.)
• Child Care (C.H.C.)

While many A.A.S. graduates successfully transfer to four-year institutions, the A.A. or A.S. degree programs give students the greatest opportunity to transfer to a four-year school with junior status.
