Patricia Lamanna
Pat Lamanna earned her
Masters Degree in Social Work at the Hunter College Graduate School
of Social Work of the City University of New York. She worked for a
home care agency in the Bronx before moving to the Hudson Valley,
where for two years she taught at Green Haven Correctional Facility
and in the Social Work Program at Marist College. In 1991 she came
to Dutchess Community College to serve as a Field Supervisor in the
Human Services Programs, with emphasis on the Mental Health
Assistant and Chemical Dependency Counseling Programs. She is also
Advisor to the Human Services Club.
Pat served for six years
on the Board of Dutchess Outreach, an agency that provides food,
clothing, information and advocacy for poor people in Dutchess
County. She is currently on the Board of the Poughkeepsie Institute,
a consortium of six area colleges. In her spare time, she enjoys
folk music and dancing, her family and her cat.
