Senior Citizen Tuition Policy

The Office of Community Services encourages life-long learning with our discounted senior citizen tuition policy.

Individuals 65 or older may register for a non-credit course for half of the published tuition provided the course has sufficient enrollment. If you wish to take advantage of the Senior Citizen Tuition Program, you must register in person on the Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the week prior to the course start date.

A picture ID with your birth date must be presented at the time of registration. You may register in Bowne Hall, Room 118 Monday -Thursday between the hours of 8:00 am - 8:00 pm and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Please call before coming to the campus to check course availability.

 

If course materials are included in the registration fee they are the responsibility of the registrant.

Note: Senior discounts cannot be given after the course begins.

 

EXAMPLE 1: TUITION WITH MATERIALS FEE

Registration Fee/$100 ($50 materials fee/$50 tuition)

         TUITION BREAKDOWN:

         $50 materials fee + $25 half tuition fee

         Senior Citizen pays: $75

 

EXAMPLE 2: TUITION WITHOUT MATERIALS FEE

         Registration Fee: $100

         $0 materials, $100 tuition

         Senior Citizen pays:  $0 materials + $50 tuition = $50

 

NOTE:  SENIOR CITIZEN TUITION PROGRAM CANNOT BE USED FOR PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS, PRIVATE CONDITIONING TRAINING, OTHER ONE-ON-ONE COURSES OR ON-LINE CLASSES. DISCOUNT CANNOT BE GIVEN AFTER THE FIRST CLASS.
