Welcome to Behavioral Sciences Welcome to the DCC Department of Behavioral Sciences (BHS). The department offers instruction in academic Behavioral Sciences and in applied Behavioral Science areas including criminal justice, early childhood education, liberal arts teaching, mental health services across the life span, chemical dependency counseling, and early childhood caregiving - all of our programs are listed below. The BHS department's goals are to provide transfer opportunities for our students and to prepare them for careers in all areas of the behavioral sciences. The department currently consists of 16 full-time faculty members, six non-teaching educators and approximately 40 adjunct instructors. The BHS Department shares a deep commitment to teaching and learning, and all members of our faculty strive to make themselves accessible to their students. BHS offices are located in Hudson Hall, Suite 403, and throughout Taconic Hall.
