From immigrant background to award-winning artist and eventual teacher of sculpture at Vassar College, Concetta’s life was one of determination against the social constraints on women artists of her time. Co-curated by Carol Kushner, Assistant Professor, DCC Department of English and the artist’s great-niece. In conjunction with Womens’ History Month, a presentation will be given by Carol Kushner.

Three DCC Students in Best of SUNY Art Show - May 14, 2007

The artwork of three Dutchess Community College students has been selected for inclusion in the 2007 Best of SUNY Student Art Exhibition, which opens Saturday, May 19 at the New York State Museum in Albany. The 2007 best of SUNY Student Art Exhibition showcases the work of SUNY’s top student artists from across the state. This juried show features 75 works selected from the more than 200 pieces in the fall and spring SUNY student art shows held at the State University Plaza in downtown Albany during the past academic year
