Golf Tournament

Golf Tournament—June 1, 2015

The 26th Annual Dutchess Community College Foundation Golf Tournament will be held Monday, June 1. We are pleased Chris Meyer and Ellen Baker will be co-chairing the event. Originally established with generous support from the family of Jack Orcutt, this tournament provides us an opportunity not only to share in an excellent round of golf, but also to celebrate one of the College’s founding staff members and its first director of Student Activities.

Our day will begin with a barbeque lunch and continue with a great afternoon of golf, followed by a dinner filled with lively raffle drawings and prize presentations. The tournament attracts golfers who understand the important role the Dutchess Community College Foundation plays in raising funds to support the students of the Hudson Valley.

Last year, the Foundation awarded more than $380,000 in scholarships to approximately 200 students—all through the generosity of people like you who support the Foundation. The golf tournament proceeds represented approximately $50,000 in support of student scholarships. Our focus is to give deserving students the extra help they need, especially in these times, to pursue their higher education and attain their career goals. This brochure lists the many ways you can be part of this special day and support these students as they work toward bright futures.

Martha Russell in the DCC Foundation Office is available to answer any questions or to reserve your team’s place at the tournament. Please contact her at (845) 431-8402 or russell@sunydutchess.edu.

Thank you for your support and we hope to see you on the course!
