The Dutchess Community College Foundation’s Annual Gala - Community’s Bridge to the Future – will be held on Saturday, March 29 at the Grandview in Poughkeepsie. We are pleased Tim Massie ’78 and John Rath will co-chair this event.
We are honored that Patrick ’81, Stephen ’92, Susan ’72 and Mark ’00 Adams, of Adams Fairacre Farms, James Fedorchak ’67, Dutchess County Attorney, DCC Foundation Board Member and Wayne Nussbickel ’77, of N & S Supply will be inducted into our Alumni Hall of Fame that evening for their outstanding professional contributions and their commitment to our community. We are pleased to be honoring DCC President Dr. D. David Conklin with the Handel Community Leadership Award, which is awarded to members of our community that improve lives in Dutchess County through volunteer work. A $1,000 scholarship will be given in Dr. Conklin’s honor to a DCC student in the spring.
"DCC was pleased to award more than $380,000 in student scholarships last year to more than 200 students, and it's events like the gala and the generosity of our donors that make it possible," said Conklin. "The lifetime success achieved by the Alumni Hall of Fame inductees is a testament to how DCC positively impacts the lives of our students, and the importance of supporting public higher education."
Join DCC in raising money to help students afford a quality education right here in Dutchess County. Help us honor our current Alumni Hall of Fame award recipients and the Bernard Handel Community Leadership Award recipient.
Sponsorship brochures are available so you can support any of these exceptional individuals. Invitations will be available so you can make your reservation to the "best party" in the Hudson Valley.
