Community’s Bridge to the Future Gala

The Dutchess Community College Foundation’s Annual Gala - Community’s Bridge to the Future – will be held on Saturday, March 24 at the Grandview in Poughkeepsie.

Charles Liscum '78, Michael McCormack '78, and Raymond VanVoorhis '78 will be inducted into the DCC Alumni Hall of Fame, and the Bernard Handel Community Leadership Award will be presented to Steven V. Lant. Handel, a longtime supporter of DCC and several other area nonprofits, created the Community Leadership Award to recognize extraordinary volunteerism that enhances quality of life in our area. Dr. D. David Conklin, DCC President, will be honored for his 20 years of service to DCC.

"DCC was pleased to award more than $380,000 in student scholarships last year, and it's events like the gala and the generosity of our donors that make it possible," said DCC President Dr. D. David Conklin. " The lifetime success achieved by this year's Alumni Hall of Fame inductees is a testament to how DCC positively impacts the lives of our students, and the importance of supporting public higher education."

Join DCC in raising money to help students afford a quality education right here in Dutchess County. Help us honor five outstanding individuals: Charles Liscum, Michael McCormack, Raymond VanVoorhis, Steven V. Lant and D. David Conklin!

Sponsorship brochures are available so you can support one or all of these exceptional individuals today. Invitations will be available in the near future so you can make your reservation to the "best party" in the Hudson Valley.
