Planned Giving

Planning Your Gift

Your gift to Dutchess Community College can be an important investment for you and your family, as well as for the College and future generations of its students. By planning a gift at DCC you can generate income for life, yield substantial income tax deductions, convert low yielding assets into a higher income while avoiding capital gains taxes, and reduce or eliminate estate taxes.

Charitable gift planning can be an integral part of overall asset planning for you and your family. Preparing a flexible plan that will help you plan for your loved ones as well as for the College is what deferred giving is all about.

Endowment That Endures

Scholarships at DCC can be endowed with a gift of $10,000 or more. The best part about an endowment is that the fund will always be at Dutchess, long after generations of students come and go. Endowments are great because they can be named for a loved one, a colleague or a friend. By honoring and remembering people who were important to us we help to keep their memories alive while helping others. Not only does the endowment endure but the name given to the fund will last in perpetuity too. What a thoughtful and everlasting gift.

DCC is pleased to have the James F. Hall Legacy Society for anyone who notifies us that they have set up a deferred gift for the College. These types of gifts are usually made after much thought and demonstrate a deep personal commitment to the future of Dutchess Community College. For anyone who commits to such a gift, we will be forever grateful.
