Why should I choose DCC? Can I afford DCC? How do I apply to DCC?

full-time studies

A student who is enrolled in twelve or more credits in the Fall or the Spring semester is considered full-time.

The application process for full-time students, who will have, at the time of attendance, a high school diploma or GED, is as follows:

  1. Fill out the admissions application.
  2. Request that your high school transcript, GED scores, and/or college transcripts be sent to Dutchess Community College.
  3. You will receive notification from DCC that we have received your application. At that time, the Admissions Office staff will begin reviewing your application and making recommendations.
  4. If you are a new college student, you will be given an appointment to take an academic placement test (also known as COMPASS/ASSET).
  5. You will then be accepted and notified when to register.
