Administration

The Office of Human Resources Management is responsible for a variety of personnel functions including the recruitment and selection of staff, benefits administration, staff development and labor relations. The office works most closely with Payroll, the Office of Academic Affairs and the Dutchess County Personnel Department to provide information and services to all College employees.

Human Resources works directly with the Office of Academic Affairs to ensure that quality faculty members are recruited in a timely manner and that all relevant procedures are consistently followed. In addition, Human Resources and the Office of Academic Affairs work together to administer the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement with DUE. In the area of staff development, Human Resources complements the efforts of the Professional Staff Development Committee by conducting a variety of staff development programs throughout the year. These programs are open to all members of the College community.

Most College employees are familiar with Human Resources in the role of benefits administrator. The office manages multiple employee benefits programs provided through three collective bargaining agreements and state and federal law. In this role, the Office of Human Resources communicates regularly with College staff.

The office is also responsible for managing the recruitment and selection of all support staff and the processing of grievances, sexual harassment and discrimination complaints.
