Need a Tutor

Free tutoring is available in most courses.  Tutoring is provided one-on-one or in small groups.

Students applying for tutoring services must first complete a Tutee Orientation and Contract before receiving an application.  Students seeking tutoring services on the main campus are encouraged to attend a Group Orientation.  Sign-ups for Group Orientations are located in the Office of Academic Services and Testing - Hudson Hall, Room 315.  Additional information about the steps to participate in the program can be found under Tutoring Guidelines.

Q:  How long does it take to get a tutor?

A:  The time to match a tutor with a tutee depends on both the availability of qualified tutors and the time availability of the student desiring tutoring. A match can be made as quickly as one day, and unfortunately, some matches are never made. Generally it takes 1-2 weeks before tutoring actually starts.

Q:  Do I have to pay for tutoring?

A:  No. Tutoring is free for DCC students registered for credit classes.
