The Writing Center offers free assistance to students working on any writing assignment for any course, in addition to written work not related to a course, such as college application essays and resumes. Our student and professional tutors help students brainstorm, draft, edit, and respond to teachers' comments.
We also:
- provide writers’ reference books and handouts
- sponsor activities like Write All Night
- feature a variety of speakers
- run an annual writing contest with cash prizes for students
- plan the Teaching Resource Project for faculty and staff
