Dutchess Community College is located in Poughkeepsie, at the center of New York’s beautiful and historic Hudson River Valley. Just 90 miles south of Albany and 80 miles north of Manhattan, the area is renowned for historic landmarks (including the home and museum of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Eleanor Roosevelt’s Val-Kill retreat and the Samuel Morse estate), the Walkway Over the Hudson, scenic hiking and biking trails, educational institutions including Vassar and Marist Colleges, SUNY New Paltz and the Culinary Institute of America, restaurants, festivals and more. DCC is close to the majestic Hudson River and easily accessible by public transportation. Shopping malls, movie theaters, an ice skating rink and other recreational activities are within a short drive.
Our award-winning campus is open to visitors during normal college hours, and we invite you to visit us and enjoy the scenic views, the sculpture garden and art displays, and our beautifully maintained grounds.
The main campus is located at 53 Pendell Road in Poughkeepsie, NY. The college is easily accessible by Metro-North and Amtrak train service. The Poughkeepsie train station is less than three miles from campus. Dutchess County Transit's Route H bus makes local stops from Monday through Saturday, and DCC students, staff and faculty can ride for free.

From the North (Albany, Syracuse) via the NYS Thruway:
Take the New York State Thruway (I-87). Go south to Exit 18 (New Paltz). Follow directions below for "From the South/Stewart Airport/Thruway."
From the North via Route 9: Take Route 9 south to Marist College. Make a left at Fulton and a left when Fulton ends. Make the right onto Cottage Road. Entrance to parking lot D is located on the right.
From the North (New England) via the Taconic Parkway:
Take the Taconic parkway south to the Route 44/Poughkeepsie exit. Take 44 west and follow the signs for DCC.
From the East via Route 44/55:Take Route 44 to Poughkeepsie. After Route 44 and Route 55 merge into the three lane bypass, look for the City of Poughkeepsie 30 MPH sign. Take the next right, Route 115, Innis Avenue. Take a left at the end of Innis till you see the sign for DCC and make a hard right. Open parking is located in Lot E. To park in Lot E, make a right into the lot at the light.
From the South (New York airports) via Interstate 684:
Take Interstate 684 north to Interstate 84 west to the Taconic State Parkway. Follow direction below for From the South via the Taconic Parkway. Take the Taconic parkway north to the Route 55/Poughkeepsie exit. Follow directions above for "From the East" via Route 55.
From the South via the Taconic Parkway:
Take the Taconic parkway north to the Route 55/Poughkeepsie exit. Follow directions above for "From the East via Route 55."
From the South/Stewart Airport/New York State Thruway:
Take the New York State Thruway (87) north to Exit 18. Exit and turn right onto Route 299 east. At the end of 299 turn right onto Route 9W south. Bear right at the signs for the Mid-Hudson Bridge. Stay in the right lane as you cross the bridge. Exit at US Route 9 for Wappingers Falls/Hyde Park. Stay on the ramp, which bears left taking you on a U-turn, and merge right onto Route 9 North - Hyde Park. Proceed north about 2 miles. Make a right at Fulton and a left when Fulton ends. Make the right onto Cottage Road.
Visitor parking is available in both Lots D and E. Entrance to Lot D is located on Cottage Road and Lot E entrance is located on Creek Road.
To park in Lot E, turn right at end of Cottage Road on to Creek Road, and make a right. Lot E entrance is located on the left.
Additional open parking is available in Lot A after 4:00 p.m.; entrance is located on Pendell Rd.
To park in Lot A, turn right at end of Cottage Road continue to Creek Road, and make a right. Go to the second light, make a right on to Pendell Road and a right at the DCC sign.
