The Director of Payroll is responsible for supervising all of the functions performed by the Payroll Department. This position reports directly to the Associate Dean of Administration.
The responsibilities of the Director of Payroll include, but are not limited to: Providing direct supervision of payroll functions;
Preparing reports of payroll data and taxes for dissemination to appropriate governmental agencies;
Ensuring proper payment of payroll-related expenses for employees;
Developing and supervising an internal accounting system for all payroll functions;
Supervising and monitoring systems to ensure accurate accounting of personnel and payroll information; Other related duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll, accounting, and human resource functions. Must have knowledge of computer applications for payroll, human resources, and accounting operations. Two years of supervising office staff performing such duties is preferred.
