The Assistant Dean of Community Services is responsible to the Dean of Community Services and Special Programs with the administration and operation of the department and has special responsibilities in the management of the noncredit programs.
Areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to, designing and developing noncredit courses that meet local continuing education needs; recruit and supervise instructors; participate in department, division, and institutional assessment activities; supervise the development of noncredit brochures; coordinate the marketing activities for noncredit courses, including maintaining the OCS Website pages; responsible for input and reporting of departmental statistics; represent the department on college committees; liaison with college staff, faculty, community groups and organizations; and coordinate summer academies and resident programs.
- Master's Degree required
- Doctorate preferred
- Minimum four years' administrative experience required
- Four years' teaching experience in higher education preferred
