Services may include:

  • Pre-registration and registration advisement
  • Classroom accommodations such as preferred seating, notetakers and scribes, adaptive tables and chairs, assisted listening devices, and assistance with arrangements to tape record classes
  • Adaptive equipment, including a Kurzweil 3000 Scanner/Reader, Dragon Naturally Speaking Software, a 21-inch computer monitor, a Reader/Scanner, Book Butlers, Able Tables, Assisted Listening Devices, and dictaphones (available on a limited basis), Write Out Loud, Zoom Text
  • Testing accommodations such as readers, scribes, extended time testing, and quiet, distraction-free testing locations
  • Assistance acquiring sign language interpreters through outside agencies
  • Supportive counseling
  • Liaison with outside agencies
  • Liaison with faculty and staff
  • Academic Skills Workshops and Consultants

All services are arranged individually on an as needed basis. The nature and extent of accommodations are based on your specific disability. Not all accommodations translate from high school to college. The services you receive may vary from course to course, instructor to instructor, and semester to semester. Therefore, you may not automatically receive each accommodation you request. You must register every semester to receive services.
